Life Tables, Canada, Provinces and Territories, 2007 to 2009 (84-537-X).
Compared to the 2000-2002 Tables, female life expectancy has increased from 82.03 years to 83.12 years. Male life expectancy has increased from 76.92 to 78.64 years.
These changes should not affect lifetime structure costs as the life insurers use their own internal life tables for annuity pricing.
The good news is that we get to live longer, at least on average.
We are in the process of updating our mobile apps and online present value calculator to reflect the new changes.Subscribe to our blog to stay in the loop.
