At Cummings Andrews Mackay LLP, we are proud to announce that effective February 23, 2023, our partner, Bill Hendsbee, KC, was appointed President of the Law Society of Alberta (LSA) for the 2023–2024 term.
Bill has been a consistent and enthusiastic contributor to efforts that support and improve the legal profession throughout his career, including being an active member of the LSA since 2018.
As he said, upon accepting the symbolic passing of the torch in February:
“Everyone at the Bencher table is here because we care and want to make a difference – I’m looking forward to leading these efforts. The diversity of backgrounds and perspectives on the Board will continue to help us navigate some important and challenging work over the next year, including the development of a new Strategic Plan, our ongoing strategic work and upcoming fall Bencher election.”
We congratulate Bill on his new appointment and wish him a successful year leading the LSA board.
